Ayni Despacho

An Ayni Despacho is a sacred symbolic prayer. Bundle + Ritual offering rooted in the O’ero indigenous tradition in Peru.

It honors mother earth and the mountain spirits to restore balance, harmony, and sacred reciprocity (Ayni)

A Despacho is done to express or manifest what we would like to attract into our lives of our family or community members .

We show gratitude, love and respect for mother earth + great nature spirits of the mountains, lakes and rivers through symbolism in the form of items. Those items represent the best in our work and finest crops.

By expressing love from the bottom of our hearts, we are also manifesting our intentions.

What goes into a Anyi Despacho?

Firstly, We will create a sacred container. Call in the four directions. Honor Pachamama (Mother Earth), Honor the Apus (mountain spirits), invite ancestors, spirits allies, and divine guidance. Most importantly, set the intentions for the ceremony.
Secondly, We start to offer prayers into the despacho. Those can vary from gradtitude, healing, new beginnings, blessings for family, or even honoring a life transition.
Third, We will build the Despacho.
A large sheet of white paper serves as the sacred foundation.
Offerings are added in a symbolic and intentional order.
Fourth, Personal Prayers. Participants often blow prayers into each offering, hold items to the heart, express gratitude, release burdens, and even call in blessings for themselves.
Fifth, When complete, the paper is folded into a package. The folds symbolize: Containing of the prayer, Bringing energies into harmony, and preparing the gift for the spirit.
Lastly, We will thank the directions, Pachamama, and The Apus. We will hold onto the Despacho for 48hrs. On the 48th hour, It will be burned and buried into the ground. Then, our prayers will be blessed.
